Keep Moving Forward

Write Tribe Festival of Words #4 - Inspiration and Creativity

My theme for this festival is "Inspiration in three words"

Day 3 May 29 2015 = Keep Moving Forward

So often we start off on a path only to find ourselves stopping when those self doubts start to creep in or when others start to question our decisions. We wonder if this path will lead to our destiny or our desired goal, whether we should carry on or change our path. Sometimes that destiny or goal seems so far and so out of reach, that we give up and abandon that quest.

But you cannot reach that desired end unless you keep moving  forward. If you keep moving forward, you will eventually reach your goal, but if you stop and give up you are certain to not reach it. All paths lead to your destiny. Some roads are longer, some are shorter, some are harder and some are easier. Even when you may veer off your path, have faith that the Universe will inevitably steer you back onto that which aligns with your destiny.

When things feel right, squash those self doubts and ignore those who question our actions. Don't stop, and don't give up.  Your destination may be just around the corner.

Note to self:  Don't give up. Keep moving forward.

Seize the Day

Write Tribe Festival of Words #4 - Inspiration and Creativity

My theme for this festival is "Inspiration in three words"

Day 2 May 27 2015 = Seize the Day

Throughout our lives, many opportunities are presented to us. More often than not though, we don't recognise them as opportunities and let them slip by.

And often when we do recognise them as opportunities, our minds fills up with doubts, we hesitate and again let the opportunity slip by.

Then there are those that are disguised as opportunities. By and large these can be recognised where the reasons are for self gain at the detriment of others. We should try and avoid these "opportunities".

Don't let regrets fill your life. When a true opportunity comes your way, seize it.

Don't wait for the big opportunities, seize the little ones too. Sometimes, little things lead to big things.

Note to self:   Carpe Diem, Seize the day.

Follow Your Bliss

Write Tribe Festival of Words #4 - Inspiration and Creativity

My theme for this festival is "Inspiration in three words"

Day 1 May 25 2015 = Follow Your Bliss

"Follow your bliss" is a phrase coined by Joseph Campbell that in essence tells us that we should pursue what gives us great joy, which we are passionate about, something that comes from deep within us. However, "Following our bliss" is that which does not harm anyone but is achieved with love and kindness.

Each of us has a purpose to fulfil in our lives. Some have grand purposes and some have little ones. It does not matter which group you fall into. What matters is that we achieve what we are meant to achieve, what our soul is meant to learn or experience in this lifetime.

The way to fulfil that purpose is to "Follow our bliss".  Our passions, deep desires and all the things that bring us joy are indicators of the path we are meant to walk. I also believe that when we "Follow our bliss", when we are in alignment with our soul or life path, things appear easy, that is we don't need to force anything.

No matter how crazy your bliss might seem and no matter what the people around you think, follow it. Because as Mother Teresa very wisely said, "In the final analysis, it is between you and God, it was never between you and them anyway".

Share your bliss with us.

A to Z Reflections 2015

The A to Z Challenge is great fun. Hard work but great fun. This year I was a little better organised than the 2 years before even though my theme was not an easy one. And thank goodness for the Sunday "holiday" that allowed me to do some catching up on reading and writing.

What I enjoyed most was:
  • the camaraderie between bloggers
  • discovering some new blogs
  • writing posts consisting of poetry and prose
  • writing on my "love is in the air" theme  - my interpretation of the Ramayana one of the great epics of India
  • participating in the Blog-A-Rhythm theme
Regrets:
  • that I was unable to visit some more new blogs
  • that I was unable to reply to comments left on my posts
  • that my visits to some blogs dwindled towards the end
What worked well for me:
  • joining blogging groups on facebook - the daily linkups were very handy in keeping track of blogs
  • picking some new bloggers and visiting as many of their posts as I could
  • writing on a theme
  • scheduling posts early - a lot of them anyway.
  • keeping posts short but not too short that they lose context

Thanks to everyone who dropped by my posts and encouraged and supported me through this challenge. Thanks to Arlee Bird who is the mastermind behind this challenge.

Some of the blogs I enjoyed:
There were so many wonderful themes and posts but too many to list.  If you missed the challenge, you can still catch up on the blogs at AtoZChallenge.

Love was in the air and I hope those who dropped by my posts enjoyed My Ramayana from A to Z.

Will look forward to the A to Z 2016.
